What to Expect in a DC Muay Thai Tiger Fit Class
We start every class with a gentle warm-up to get you moving and ready to go. Expect some light stretching, basic footwork, and easy moves to help you get comfortable with the flow of the class. Our instructors will guide you through each warm-up so you feel ready for the main workout.
The heart of Tiger Fit is our heavy bag work, where you’ll get to practice real Muay Thai moves like punches, elbows, kicks, and knees. Don’t worry about being perfect—this part of the class is all about having fun and trying something new!
Each round, we’ll introduce you to simple combinations that build up as you gain confidence:
Rounds 1-3 : We’ll start with single strikes and two-strike combos, so you can get comfortable with the basics.
Rounds 4-6: As you progress, we’ll introduce three-, four-, and even five-strike combinations to give you more variety and confidence with the bag.
Round 7: Freestyle! Here, you’ll have the chance to experiment with all the moves you’ve learned and find your own rhythm.
Each round is only 3 minutes, with a rest period in between to catch your breath. By the end of this section, you’ll have had a complete workout, building both your skills and your fitness.
